Yale-A Living History ‘Tent City’ takes you back to the early days of the 1858 Fraser River Gold Rush. Step back in time and stroll the boardwalk, check out the goods for sale in the General Store, swagger into the Saloon for an ice cold root beer or a game of poker, learn what life was like for the thousands of Chinese railway worker in the Chinese Boarding House and Bath house or try your hand at gold panning and ‘strike it rich’. Visitors can even dress the part in an outfit from our costume collection located in the Historic ‘Ward House’.

Alexandra Bridge Provincial Park This small 55 ha (136 acre) park is centred around the site of the original Cariboo Wagon Road bridge over the Fraser River.

Hell's Gate Airtram A cable-tram, giving a view of the wild gorge below, leads to the other bank which is 150 m (490 ft) lower. There you will find shops, restaurant and more!

From October 4, 2011 through
winter, Historic Yale site is only open for pre-booked tours.
(closed to the general public)
Regular Historic Site hours will resume in Spring, 2012.
